Heritage
architectural masonry, carving and sculpture
"I undertake all aspects of the production
of architectural masonry from supply of stone to carrying out the
working of the stone from Templates. I also carry out exact replication
of works of antiquity or carving from date stones to ornate pieces
for museums and heritage organisations and advising or carrying
out restoration and conservation of certain works.
" I have also carried out singular commissions for stone carving
and sculpture for groups such as Sainsbury, local councils, Church
of England, Roman Catholic Church, charities, English Lakes Hotels,
Gorton Monastery and others. Full list and references available."

After
more than 16 years in storage, and eight months being carefully
restored, the 12 Monastery saints statues were hoisted
40 ft up back onto their plinths in the Great Nave at Gorton
Monastery.
Since last September a team of two local artists, Shawn Williamson
and Andrew Scantlebury, both specialising in sculpture and stone
masonry, and a group of volunteers, have been painstakingly
restoring and cleaning the stone statues on-site in two container
workshops at the Monastery in Gorton, east Manchester. Made
of French limestone, each statue is eight foot in height and
weighs half a ton. |
